The Walking Dead: No Going Back leaked ending

With No Going Back, the final episode of Telltale Games's The Walking Dead: Season 2 releasing in the coming weeks, it isn't difficult to believe that information about it could leak prematurely. One plucky gamer has hacked into the pending Android version of the game and has managed to navigate through an (almost) fully playable build. He reported crashes and chopped up dialogue in certain places, but records that 90% of the game is in a form that it would be in for public consumption, including, he insists, the final scene of the episode.

Telltale Games is known for changing its episodes close to release - this is why the trailers advertising upcoming episodes rarely resemble what actually occurs within these episodes. This suggests that the developers are often making last minute changes up to the date of release, highlighting their reactive and impulsive method to making video games. That the ending of Season 2 is set in stone already suggests that Telltale has had an ending in mind from the very beginning, and that it isn't going to shoehorn a conclusion in a week before release.

Having now seen the ending, I think this was a good decision. You can tell that the final scene is carefully choreographed, with plenty of screen-time for all three of the main characters in Season 2 - Clementine, Kenny and Luke. How the decisions you have made throughout the season will impact upon the ending is yet to be confirmed - apparently most of the 'glitched out' dialogue in the Android leak is the dialogue altered by your choices - but I doubt the actual ending will be influenced by this in any major way. If you can handle spoilers, watch the video below - it's a little bit grainy, as it was recorded on an Android device, but it clearly shows how the events of Season 2 are going to conclude.
