Guri: 30 points, PS 5, EPT (v2.0 W12)

"At the start of the Combat phase, if you are at Range 1 of an enemy ship, you may assign 1 focus token to your ship."

Guri bothers me as a character. She's most commonly depicted as an objectified honey pot. "Assassin Sex-Bot" is a lazy and misogynistic trope.

Her X-Wing representation used to be killer sexy (minus the actual pandering) as the most provocative Attanni trigger, but the Mindlink nerf rendered this strategy risky. She's at her best in the heart of combat, but now it's terrifying to throw Fenn Rau's sole support into the fire. (I've appended my favorite pre-nerf squad after this entry for archival purposes.)

Post nerf, Intensity is the likeliest bet. Guri's barrel roll and boost options combined with the ability to generate a focus token makes her the best Intensity option not named Poe.

Gurintensity - Rank B

(34) Guri: Intensity, Fire-Control System, Autothrusters, StarViper Mk. II, Virago
(34) Fenn Rau: Push the Limit, Autothrusters, Concord Dawn Protector
(29) Contracted Scout: Adaptability, Intelligence Agent, Rigged Cargo Chute, Ion Projector/Anti-Pursuit Lasers

Set them up by controlling the field with the BumpMaster, and knock them down with a steady stream of double-modded attacks. Currently, high PS alpha striking puts a damper on Fenn, but you didn't bring Guri to ace your way to wins either.

If you're funsies inclined, Stay on Target is a joy. Dial up any 1 or 2 speed maneuver, then consult Intel Agent to determine which permutation of Advanced Sensors action and Stay on Target dial change nets her the ideal final position and facing. Just finish within Range 1 of an enemy ship, and you've got the dice modifier you need. Swap in this loadout:

(35) Guri: Stay on Target, Advanced Sensors, Autothrusters, StarViper Mk. II, Virago

Pre-Nerfs Guri: Wow, did this squad fall out of the nerf tree and hit every branch on the way down...

Guri kits out extremely obviously: Attanni Mindlink, Autothrusters, and the new StarViper Mk. II title. If points are available, the Virago title gives her access to several excellent options; the pre-dial barrel roll or boost from Advanced Sensors is a personal favorite. Her Pilot Skill 5 places her in an interesting place. She can reposition into range 1 of lower pilots, or block higher ones. Ideally, a Guri squad is equipped with Intelligence Agent to assuredly block opponents while simultaneously sprinkling focus tokens about.

Guri Boats - Rank A

(30) Guri: Attanni Mindlink, Autothrusters, StarViper Mk. II
(35) Contracted Scout: Attanni Mindlink, R4 Agromech, Extra Munitions, Plasma Torpedoes, Intelligence Agent, Rigged Cargo Chute, Guidance Chips
(35) Contracted Scout: Attanni Mindlink, R4 Agromech, Extra Munitions, Plasma Torpedoes, Intelligence Agent, Rigged Cargo Chute, Guidance Chips

I've futzed around with any number of Guritanni wingmen, from Asajj to Zuckuss, but Torp Boats are the cream of the crop. They bring control, carry Intel Agents, and deliver knockout punches. There aren't enough points around to give Guri a Systems upgrade, but she's just fine lean and mean. The only 2 points I might mess with are the Rigged Cargo Chutes. Burnout SLAMs are also usefully entertaining tools.
