Arrogance Swap

Sony obliterated the competition with the PlayStation 2, and strode confidently into the next generation with the arrogance of a titan.

We think arrogant titans are dicks, and clearly favored the Xbox 360. It took time (plus massive losses and Sony's credit rating being lowered to junk bond status), but Sony has finally come around and gotten back to working collaboratively with partners to foster the best content they can.

Conversely, Microsoft has turned increasingly belligerent and aloof in their public relations stance. However, I do think that the "always online" rumors of the NextBox have been blown out of proportion. It likely applies to media functions, and I'd be stunned if they just shot themselves in the face by alienating their gamer constituency with draconian DRM or locking out used games.

We'll find out tomorrow.

We're also scaling back a bit here, and will be posting new comics every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I apologize for cutting back the daily dosage, but I haven't been entirely pleased with the quality of our content since we went daily. We're aiming to make up for the loss of quantity with quality.
