Forza Motorsport 5
Microsoft is failing to properly tout one of the XBone's best features: the Azure cloud platform. I get that it's a tricky sell to explain to the uninformed consumer, but why not couch it in terms of its practical effects?
It would go something like: "Xbox One 'Live Compute' offers scalable dedicated servers which massively reduces multiplayer lag. PlayStation Plus operates peer-to-peer which is sooooo last-gen!
Individual games can also benefit from the extra horsepower. I imagine it'll be some time until we see a genuinely dramatic use, but Forza Motorsport 5's "drivatars" are pretty doggone cool. It collates driving patterns into virtual profiles, stores them on the cloud, and uses them as A.I. drivers in everyone's races. When you're not playing, your digital copy propagates over the web and earns you some modest winnings for you to collect upon your return.
So if you're playing Forza 5 and you run into Vawce, I'm sorry. When I have open road in front of me, I'm all about carving the smoothest line I can. (I do tend to push the limits of traction, so if you see me fly off the track, feel free to laugh at me.) However, when I'm in a pack, I'm a dirty bastard. I adhere to the M. Rossi school of driving, so I will attempt to overtake through the smallest of windows. If that means courting a collision Senna-style, so be it! I feel zero guilt when pit maneuvering a rival. It's even better if you imagine that Vawce drivatar cackling maniacally as he drives off.
