nuqDaq 'oH puchpa'e'
The advent of the internet has provided a massive new sluice of communication and information flow. Like any other technology, however, humankind has found a way to abuse it, channeling the dark underbellies of our psyches through telephone and fiber optic lines. I'm talking about predatory megalomaniacal arch-fiends preying on defenseless, unsuspecting pedophiles, like poor PonFarr. It's an absolute epidemic, I hear.
Speaking of PonFarr, geek culture can be diagrammed as an inverted pyramidical hierarchy. At the broad end of the spectrum resides your casual geek, who enjoys watching, say, Firefly or Battlestar Galactica from time to time, and cannot be readily identified within a crowd of non-geeks. At the pointy, nether end dwells your hardcore fanatic who writes fan fiction...in Klingon. Now, it's difficult to be objective about one's self, and you may not be sure about which end of this hierarchy you call home. Ask yourself, "Do I know which episode of the original Star Trek series Pon Farr is a reference from?" If so, you should call that girl you met at the convention (yes, the ugly one), because that's the only Pon Farr you'll ever get.

In My Defense
First I would like to state for the records that I did not choose that credit title for myself.
Second, I'm lucky to have only been subjected to this torture for about an hour... Dee and I both had major headaches trying to figure this strip out verbally and... well, visually as far as the text is concerned. Poor Dee spent many hours trying to get the preliminary text to look just right... a task that my younger sister accomplished in mere minutes AFTER the fact... then again, she has the kind of mind that VAWCE is trying to impersonate.
Anyway, enjoy the strip!
