Batman: Arkham Knight

This comic is some months behind the launch of the game, but I just got around to playing it through. I strongly recommend it. The controls are complex, but that's necessary to get Batman to execute the litany of Batmanish awesome moves. However, there's a ton of driving involved, and the Batmobile handles like a walrus on ice. I almost made this comic about saving Gotham City, but inflicting billions of dollars of property damage by fishtailing through buildings. The story is fairly solid as well, with a standout performance from Mark Hamill that kept me engaged.

But these riddles... I did enjoy solving several of them, but not all of the two hundred and forty-three were winners. I understand that these collectibles are a mainstay of the franchise, but I feel like I got suckered. I wouldn't have bothered with them, except for the promise of a "best ending". "Solving" all 243 riddles allows you to take down the Riddler (gaining 3 upgrade points), by double-teaming him with Batman and Catwoman in a non-unique brawl. Upon completing the game, you're then treated to an extra cutscene that is both tremendously short and ambiguous, adding nothing of value to the experience.

Pro Tip: don't bother with the Riddles, and YouTube the "reward" only if your curiosity absolutely compels it.
