To be fair, I hammered this one for the sake of satire. The government's demand, at face value, is both legal and reasonable. They're asking Apple to unlock a phone associated with the San Bernardino shootings.
However, the requested method would result in a master key that could pierce every iPhone in the world. Should we trust a bureaucratic agency with this sort of power? Would it be shared with other federal agencies? How would they secure this master OS? It could be dire if this backdoor access fell into the hands of our enemies.
I respect Tim Cook's stance on this matter.
