Lately, I've been having trouble brewing up strip ideas. I didn't know what I was going to send Vargas yesterday, until I saw that eBay ad.

It really does appear to me that Microsoft will finally achieve the market penetration they've been striving for. The Playstation 3's extreme pricing point scales it up and out of mainstream purchasing, and its scarcity might make even that $2000 seem like a bargain come Christmas. And as intrigued as I am about the Wii itself, the paucity of content available for it looks like a repeat of the GameCube. The 360 has nurtured a decent library of games, and looks poised to explode this upcoming holiday season.

I haven't discussed any games in quite some time, mostly because Vargas and I have been playing World of Warcraft again. However, my wife was kind enough to pick up Dead Rising on the 360 for me. The promise of "next generation" is finally starting to creep around. The game looks and sounds great in hi-def and surround sound. It's also a fairly unique game for Capcom. I mean, they've done zombies before, but not in such a light-hearted manner. This is the Shaun of the Dead of video games. Also, the open-ended game design is a significant departure from the usual linear Capcom fare. All in all, it's not an S grade game that I'll be wanting to dust off to play 10 years from now, but it is another solid fun entry in the growing 360 library.
