Wii Motion Plus Instructional Video
When I saw the video in question, I immediately knew the topic of today's comic strip. Unfortunately, the source material is still funnier than my mockery.
The following video is available on Grand Slam Tennis and presumably other Wii Motion Plus compatible games to come. Keep in mind that once you begin watching it, the Wii locks up preventing you from skipping it. Also, the pain doubles around the 1:30 mark.

Diplomacy III - Spring 1906 (updated with retreat)
England - Vargas continues to nibble at the backside of Germany while trying to keep his flanks locked up. At this point of the game, English strategy may be just to make life miserable for Germany who took away their longshot hope of victory.
Germany - Munich was recovered as the Czarina went on holiday (literally). However, if and when Russia does resume the offensive, Germany is still beset on all sides by foes. Note that one of the unintended consequences was that the Austrians retreated into the Heartland. While this unit can be destroyed, it will take considerable resources to cut off all retreat lanes and bring to bear the sufficient firepower. In the long term, the future looks bleak as the Kaiser is beset on all sides.
Italy - Bill did not go to NAO or IRI, which would have been the funniest move of the game. Too bad, that opportunity may never come again as the Austrian fleet approaches.
Austria - Munich was lost as his close ally went on holiday and no support came for its defense. However, the retreating army slipped deeper into hostile territory and will create problems for Germany by forcing the Huns to commit significant resources to destroy it, lest a supply center flips (again). At sea, the Med is now Austrian, which is an incredibly rare feat in Diplomacy. This fleet will soon overrun Iberia and turn into the western waters to envelope old French lands while scaring the bejeezus out of England. MMM, Liverpool...
Russia - The catalyst by which the game turned whacky. By doing nothing, Linda proved me wrong!
Side note: This is one of the weirdest games of Diplomacy I have ever seen (2nd only to Italian Warsaw) and I'm truly having difficulty analyzing the game. It's almost as if the players are going out of their way to make the game hard on themselves!
