I remember the simple bygone era when Blizzard was three guys working out of their garages. Now they constitute the meaty bulk of the merciless cash-harvesting megacorp known as Activision Blizzard. Used to be, they didn't have the staff to sift through the reams of user generated content that flowed through their fledgling Battle.net. Now, they've got armies of map inspectors checking every upload, and game masters intruding upon sexting sessions.
(By the by, that must be one of the creepiest jobs in existence. It's bad enough when you're a player in World of Warcraft and you come across two players hanging around an inn bedroom in their skivvies. It's another matter entirely to insert yourself into their interaction and dictate behavior.)
The Wild West days of the internet are slowly giving way to a more civilized era, but that sort of raised standard of behavior does come at a regrettable cost.
