Ok...Vargas and I rushed this strip to make it timely, and we seem to have had some miscommunication. If you're at all confused by the strip, Apple has announced "Boot Camp" for their new Intel based Macs, which allows you to install Windows XP on a separate partition. That's right, Windows on a Mac.
Things are getting weird. We've got a Microsoft product (Xbox 360) running on Power PC architecture, and Apple computers powered by Intel chipsets. I was originally a Mac user (heck, I had an Apple IIe back in the day) and only switched to PCs because of games.
This development is tempting me to get a Mac and use the Apple OS for everyday use, and boot up XP whenever I need to play a game. I guess I'll wait and see if Boot Camp runs with minimal conflicts. I'm almost giddy at the prospect of owning a Mac again. If only Apple would license OS X to run on 3rd party Intel machines...
