Climate Change

I contributed my share of carbon monoxide this past week, as I tallied approximately 1,200 miles in a fairly inefficient automobile. I did swap in a high flow catalytic converter before my trip, which dramatically improved my fuel economy, so I don't feel quite as guilty about despoiling the environment since I drowned at least three less polar bears than otherwise.

Visit the Grand Canyon. It is remarkable, and I am going to remark on it right now. Pictures and video do not do it justice. Yes, it is simply a hole in the ground, but it is a hole in the ground so profoundly vast and so beautifully crenelated that it eludes comprehension. Its sheer magnitude is such that the mind rejects the images the eyes are sending it, sort of like unconvincing George Lucas computer generated landscapes. Of course, this natural wonder possesses a verisimilitude that no digital artifice could portray, no matter how hi-definition the pixel count.

That started awfully idyllic, then took a quick turn to the nerdy. I'm struggling a bit to re-acclimate to electronic civilization, so please bear with me; I've got a lot of catching up to do as they seem to have updated the internet a few billion times in my absence.
