I'm a cranky middle-aged man who spends a lot of time in these comics mocking youth culture. That's probably a bad idea as you youngsters are my primary audience, but I can't stop myself as the catharsis of it is like the warm rush of smack flooding my bloodstream.
But today, I will defend you! There's an internet meme that goes, "YOLO is Carpe Diem for stupid people." (It probably hasn't exploded since it mocks youth culture.) Well, let me tell you, "Carpe Diem" was a catchphrase to justify idiocy in my circle when I was a kid. But it's not like we were awash in the beauty of poetry or fighting the power. We used the phrase to shrug away the shame of our testosterone/alcohol fueled indiscretions.
So you youngbloods keep on YOLOing with pride. Er, lessened shame. Just follow these guidelines to prevent irreparable damage; remember, YOLO works both ways and you don't want to trash your one life either:
1) Don't get arrested
2) Use condoms
3) Don't do drugs (just wait until you're middle-aged and mock kids)
