Maturity

I like how we gamers complain about the unimaginative dreck that game publishers keep regurgitating at us, while we keep plunking down big dollars on Dick Puncher 8 in lieu of supporting actual innovators.

David Cage is occasionally full of garbage (like when Indigo Prophecy transformed from an intriguing murder mystery into a save-the-world-Matrix-knockoff), but he does definitely make genuine efforts to move the medium to maturity. At worst, he's a pompous dreamer; at best, he's one of the few auteurs pushing a reluctant industry toward legitimacy, and I'm rooting he succeeds.
