It wasn't the riots that got me...

It was: "What's Columbine?"

Uhm.

Shit.

I know it was a massacre. (More of a school shooting...) The one at the High School? In the Mid-West or Plains area...

My elementary school had a tree planted in front that was dedicated to the OKC bombing.

I was in 3rd for Columbine. OKC bombing and Waco were before my school years, but I know just about that much info on them without looking them up.

In the 4th grade I could give you the month and year that the Berlin Wall fell, and I wasn't even born.

(I'm not a good "control" for these kinds of things.)

I will admit to looking up Ruby Ridge after an episode of Criminal Minds though.

I remember when gas BRIEFLY dipped under a buck in a few gas stations here in Los Angeles. That was AGES ago.
