LEVIATHAN

This is my favorite story among Dee's early works. A little side note that you may not have caught at first glance: Seng-sun is the transliterated word for "fish" in Korean and Goreh is the word for "whale." :)

I'm sure if he wishes it, he'll post more on the site. Until then... ;)

It's been a while since I read that story - a revision or so since. I like it a lot. There's nothing quite like the pulverization of bone and sinew.

I still have a hardcopy of this story that Dee gave me a while ago. I really liked it then. Still holds up.

For those of you who liked that short story, thanks! And feel free to critique it openly and honestly.

I wrote it ages ago (almost a decade) and yeah, I did revise it before posting it. I do have a ton of short stories from way back when. They seem dusty and ancient to me now; my writing this millennium consisted of freelancing (from videogames to travelogues of all things), working on a novel, and scratching out Dave the Direman scripts. I have the obsessive-compulsive need to edit my ancient short stories before posting them, and for now, I'm just concentrating on getting the site optimized and catching up on game reviews. It's less soul-baring to be snarky in my blogs and columns, than it is to share works I feel wholly inadequate about. Eventually, I'll get to a point where I can catch up on cleaning up the rest of my short stories, or *gasp* even writing new ones.

Also, always good to hear from you Wevets! Looking forward to your wedding next month.

And Yino, glad to finally have a name for our Chilean audience. I dig your avatar image and sig; it oozes post-modern irony. :D
