50 Cent: Blood on the Sand

Okay, let me first state that I am in no way, shape, or form a fan of rap, let alone 50 Cent. So imagine my surprise when Dee and I ran through the game last night, having fun pretty much the entire way through.

Dee will be reviewing the game soon, so I won't go into any detail, but suffice to say that this game delivers exactly what it promises: A better than competent 3rd person shooter that's just long enough so it doesn't overstay its welcome, has the right amount of over-the-top hard gangsta personality to entertain you, provides satisfying rewards for accomplishing cool arcade-style objectives (kill all three snipers in 30 seconds, GO!), and for those of you who like strong visceral violence... well, just youtube one of the many melee attacks available in the game and you'll get the idea.

Since it IS a short game, I don't recommend anyone to go out and buy it, but It was definitely worth the rent.

I keep imagining Fiddy playing this game, talking shit at the enemies in the game, even as his virtual counterpart does the same.

I hate what rap/hip hop has become, but I did enjoy the sheer stupid bravado of this game. I'm just afraid of the people out there who would enjoy it UNironically.
