What should I be watching?

Billy Wilder's Ace in the Hole starring Kirk Douglas - a terrific noirish morality play. It was originally released under the title The Big Carnival. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone interested in a quality, intense drama. Thanks to Steve for pointing me to this film.

Robert Altman's 3 Women - I'd love to have someone to discuss this headtrip with. It's definitely not for everyone. Paul? Feel like biting the bullet to join me? It's a slow burn, and seems riddled with pointless inanities as it gradually grows more surreal, particularly after a suicide attempt? It's brilliantly filmed and scripted, but I don't really grasp what I viewed. I could use some company...

Sure. I'll stop by the DVD store and pick it up next time I'm there.
