Afterburner II

Dude, I used to spend hours at the arcade playing the first iteration of this title. I remember playing "2" only briefly though. Did it not have much of a shelf life?

Not sure; they came out back to back and were virtually the same game. There was probably more difference between Street Fighter II and Street Fighter II: C.E.

I guess it all depended on your local arcade. If I was an arcade owner, and I already had the original After Burner, I wouldn't have spent thousands on a new cabinet that was such a minor variant.

This was an awesome game when i played it way back when along with the old double dragons and pit fighter. I think i still have it somewhere in my mac M.A.M.E. =p
